It is possible to separate the paths of religion and of the Vatican City State, from the Roman Empire. But it is impossible to avoid the overlap of the two powers. If you visit the largest Baths of Rome, Baths of Diocletian - even if everyone thinks of the Baths of Caracalla - inside the Baths is the Basilica of Santa Maria degli Angeli. THE ART OF FOOD

Roman cuisine is a mix of dishes from central Italy. Appetizers of salami and grilled vegetables. First courses of amatriciana, carbonara and tagliatelle with meat sauce. Second courses of meat and fish. Desserts and local sweets.

A good approach that will teach you how to understand the menu  is to go to the Central Market in via Giolitti, Rome Termini.

Central Market is characterized by 20 craft workshops, thematic. The first, the salami, the truffle, the fish, the wines, the oven, etc.  800 seats are often not sufficient.

Near the Colosseo, a short distance away is the Colle Palatino, between the Colosseo and the Circo Massimo. The hill dominates the Foro Imperiale, while the Foro Romano, the Republic era, is on the opposite side of the Via Imperiale. A day is not enough to visit all the monuments.
